NLMK Group implements further social support programmes amid COVID-19 pandemic
NLMK and its social partner, the Mercy (‘Miloserdiye’) Charitable Foundation, continue to provide support to NLMK employees and local communities in regions where the Company operates in the face of the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic:
- 46,000 Russian employees of the Group will receive a one-time cash payment before the end of November. The Company will pay out a total of RUB 1.4 billion to its employees. NLMK will also cover the corresponding income tax.
- Additionally, by the end of the year:
— A total of 10 medical facilities in the regions where the Company operates will receive expensive medical supplies needed to treat patients with severe COVID-19 and pneumonia, for a total of close to RUB 40 million;
— As many as 15,000 families with multiple children living in seven cities where NLMK operates will receive child benefits, the amount of payments totaling close to RUB 20 million.
